Tim teaches all styles of music from rock/pop to jazz, latin, cuban and drum 'n' bass/electronica, theory and sight reading. His lessons are prewritten so more time can be dedicated to the pupil. Each style/page starts with the basics and then progresses to more advanced rhythms.

He can also take pupils through the Rockschool or Guildhall graded examinations.

Tim encourages his pupils to play in bands, groups and orchestras and uses his experience as a player to help navigate the student through the varous pitfalls of this industry. He also uses various teaching aids such as backing tracks, charts and click tracks (metronomes) to help emulate a live or studio environment.
